Dehydration? “They” say 75% of adults are chronically dehydrated and it causes sensations of hunger.

I agree with

@mrswestcoast:  that you shoudl try chugging a large glass of water!  Also, I usually take two “tums” when I get really hungry.  I need the extra calcium anyways, and they tend to take away hunger pains!

@deetroitwhat:  Let me start by saying that I buy this peanut butter granola from the bulk food bins at Winco, so I measure out 1/2c of the granola and mix it with 1/2c low fat chobani yogurt (never non-fat).  I’ll also have an egg on the side, and take sips of water between bites of my food.  It keeps me full for super long and I end up making healthier choices throughout the day.  I generally don’t eat fruit in the mornings because something about them make me feel like I have a blood sugar drop about an hour after eating them, so I eat fruits later in the day (usually around the time I fit in my workout)

I’m with PP’s, that’s not very much food. Eating smaller amounts of food more often is actually better for your metabolism, but you shouldn’t go hungry or feel deprived and breakfast is the most important meal to give your day a good start.

I start with an egg on a whole wheat english muffin with cheese so I get protein and fiber early in the day to keep me going. I also usually have a smoothie with a handful of blueberries (which are packed with antixoxidants and fight cholesterol and belly fat), a few strawberries, a banana, calcium-fortified OJ, and light yogurt. If I have it on hand, I might add a little spinach, flax seed, baby carrots, or protein powder to that smoothie. Some days when I’m bored of that, I swap out the egg for fruit and oatmeal or have an omelet with peppers, onions, and tomatoes.

I think you need some protein like eggs and then eat the yogurt and apple for a snack.

That’s not FOOD, those are snacks. You need more protein.

Definitely need more protein. For breakfast I eat 2 eggs and 2 pieces of turkey bacon plus an almond milk latte. For my mid-morning snack, I eat 4 pumpkin protein bars. They are so delicious! (Recipe: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/jamie-easons-livefit-recipes-pumpkin-protein-bars.html).  For lunch, I usually have a homemade soup that is full of protein from chicken or beef. Basically, I have at least 20 g of protein at every meal. Eating multiple times a day is great to keep your metabolism going, but you don’t have to snack all day. Just eat small meals. Drinking more water can definitely help determine if you’re just thirsty or actually hungry, but if you’re hungry, then eat.

@tcgstar:  Ha! They make me more hungry as well, I kind of avoid them because they make me hungier. I’ll only eat them if I’m already full

You need more protein, most of that is sugar

Sounds like you’re just snacking all day, not making truly filling meals, and you stay hungry. I can graze like that IF I eat a good breakfast, but if I don’t get ahead of my hunger with a filling first meal, I’m always running to catch up on super embarrassing stomach growls. Maybe think about starting off with something more than a kind bar and banana – like add your yogurt and the apple in as well? Then you would be sated with the same amount of food and you wouldn’t need to snack all the way til lunch.

Protein is the best for keeping you full. Protein and whole grains.
