As others have said, that is too much fruit and carbs and not enough protein. I thought I ate really healthily but a nutritionist told me that I had substituted eating chocolate by eating as much fruit as I could for sugar.

I generally eat each day:

* Smoothie (using almond milk, banana, blueberry, chia seed or LSA)

* Mid morning snack – fruit of some kind

* lunch – usually chicken/turkey and vegetables

* afternoon snack – cucumber sticks or capsicum sticks

If I am going to the gym I may have a banana (if I havent had one that day) or I will have avocado on ryvita.

* dinner is again meat with veg, but I try to keep this interesting if I can! I have clean eating recipes for salads, soups, quiches etc

@carbear02:  I don’t know what the “magic” ratio is, but I just listened to a podcast by Jillian Michaels and she said 40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fat.

@carbear02:  Im not sure what the magic ratio is either, but I know that you should never fill your plate, and that your protein (meat) should be roughly the size of your palm. I try to make sure I have more veggies than proteins.

My mum lost a lot of weight on 1200 calories a day, but I actually feel if you are working out heavily then you need to have more calories to give you energy. I aim for 1500 but thats just me!
