Everyone will always compare your wedding with the ones they have been to before. That’s normal. They will compare your wedding to every other wedding they’ve seen in person and in magazines and movies. Aren’t you doing that yourself, in your head? “I’ve seen this and I liked it, I’ve seen this and hated it,” and so on?

And shoot, if no one likes this girl your brother is marrying, then they’ll be MORE excited for yours when it comes around, just to see a couple they’re really happy for!

Don’t sweat it. People have to focus on what’s happening first. In this case, it’s his. And after his, it will be yours. Keep your cool, don’t get offended, don’t let it ruffle you.

consider it a blessing no one likes her! Everyone will probably automatically assume your wedding is superior just because they want to crap talk her. =D  My brother got married 6 mos before my wedding date and so we had a long period of planning weddings at the same time were mine got brushed under the rug but the second his was over he was all over helping me with mine.  It was actually really nice.

Like sweetcrackers said- “Everyone will always compare your wedding with the ones they have been to before.” Sounds like the family is more excited than yours, so it’s all good! 🙂
