I have the same issue.

Our house was immaculate on Friday and here we are Sunday evening and I have a coffee table full of dirty dishes again. *facepalm* I just want to dump all of the dishes in a pile on top of his computer, maybe then his ass will start putting them in the sink.

I constantly wonder why my man’s underwear ALWAYS ends up on the bathroom floor instead of in the hamper right there.  DISGUSTING!

hahaha! ohhh the joys of relationships….

Dear man in my house:

Why do you use all the toilet paper taking a 45 min long crap, and then don’t replace it? I have a vagina and I use toilet paper every time I use the bathroom, unlike your stand & whiz self. Also, after you shower, why is the bathroom floor completey wet. Do you secretly take a big bubble bath and splash around like a 2 year old, or do you just enjoy driving me wild ?

I totally feel the same way! I love him to bits, but…  dirty dishes are always in the living room, and his underware is always on bathroom floor… about 10 feet away from the hamper. Drives me crazy! I stopped washing clothes that are not in the hamper (gave him warning about this) and he still waits until after the laundry is done and then asks about clean underware. I just remind him that there wasn’t any in the hamper. So… he wears dirty underware sometimes, and I do more laundry. Let’s just say that we’re working on it.

I just want to smack Darling Husband sometimes for being a slob. I don’t work, so the house is technically my job. Well, I’ll clean and then he’ll come through like a tornado and mess everything up… and then complain that the house is dirty. He’s going to eat my fist one of these days in a fit of hormone-fueled preggo rage.

I’ve been cleaning all week trying to get ready becaue I’m flying out first thing Tuesday morning to spend a month at home in the states. I figured if the house is spotless before I go, there is a chance it will minimize the mess when I get back. I apparently can’t even have a clean house for a weekend… I am dreading coming back in January now.

Its because his mom cleaned up after him so thats all he knows. My FI’s mom scolded him for leaving a shirt on a chair, so needless to say he cleans up just as well as I do.

@Genuine513: Nope. My Darling Husband is this way because he grew up with just his dad, who was a horrible slob. He seriously treaded a fine line between messy and filthy hoarder. He never had to clean up after himself because they just didn’t clean.

@zippylef: Well that is basically the same thing then. Either way they were never required to pick up after themselves so why would they now.

Bahaha!

@Rouquine: I just giggled at a mental picture of a man CONSTANTLY throwing his clothes all over the room.  Like, non-stop, passionately flinging them, for an hour.

@Eva Peron: Mine makes the bathroom floor into a swimming pool as well!  And it’s funny, I’ve WATCHED him dry off, and he’s fairly thorough before stepping out.  Maybe he leaks?

I basically live in a low-budget amusement park called “Sock World” so I hear ya, ladies.
