I stay off of the main boards unless I’m really bored but I’m on the baby boards all the time.  Although there are other sites, none are as well-designed with as many members and as supportive of an environment as the bee…

You can click on the wedding related tab if you ever get tired of the baby stuff.  I would’ve a year ago this time : )

Yup, I believe so many newlyweds stuck around here after their weddings that there were some threads aimed at getting pregnant, having kids and other after wedding topics.  There was actually some controversy around the babies board, some bees didn’t want it.  But as you can see, it has been pretty much accepted and more and more newlyweds are staying on the site because of it. With more and more bees sticking around, I’m guessing the Nesting section will probably grow.

@firsttimemom: Do you ever plan to “unveil” yourself to WB?

ETA: Just curious! There are so many secret bees on here now because of their pregnancy. I’m always wondering they plan to do an announcement like, “my old username was xxxx and now I’m xxxx!”

I think part of the appeal of the Weddingbee Baby boards is that the ladies who contribute all seem to be so nice and balanced (as in TTC or kids aren’t their only focus).  I lurk on a a fulltime TTC / baby board and I somtimes find it a little OTT and desperate (I don’t mean to be unkind to those women that post on those boards).

I reckon that WB gives me the best of both worlds – interesting questions, lots of good advise and some much-needed balance and perspective

@Gingersnap:  I wonder too who certain bees are that come back after.

I think it’s a great network for people going through the same / similar things. I’m pretty new and have just utilized wedding-related information, but can’t see why I wouldn’t stick around. I’ve gotten so much good advice and insight for the wedding stuff that I can’t see why it wouldn’t carry over into the “after”life.

Love how polite your question was!

I’ve been around here for a few months, lurking mostly, and I love the filtered tabs at the top ๐Ÿ™‚ It keeps me from looking and thinking too much about weddings when I’m in the waiting phase, but I have kids and work in the animal field, so there’s a lot of stuff I can do here without planning a wedding. I likes it here.

Personally I would love to see a tab just for pregnant brides…le sigh….I guess there just aren’t enough of us here to keep it running full time. ๐Ÿ™‚

I like talking to other moms. I got married years ago, but it was a courthouse ceremony. So I have the marriage, and the child and the whole thing, but now I want a WEDDING! Hence, why I’m on WB and glad I can still talk kids while looking up reception ideas for our vow renewal ๐Ÿ™‚

Because many bee’s stay on the site after getting married or join after getting married. Hince the next step = babies/starting a family! There is also pets/newly weds posts on here also! It all goes hand in hand. Those are all under Nesting.
