So I am in the gym. Yes I want to lose weight and be the hottest me i can be for my wedding, but, I also want to be fit and healthy. My peeve is all those people who…
1. see you eating a healthy balanced meal or smaller portions and have to comment on how you are starving yourself
2. God forbid you decide to indulge yourself with a burger instead of chicken breast and then its all “why are you eating that?!?!” like its the end of the world.
I can’t stand the naysayers who sit around and watch and judge and wait for you to fall off the in-their-mind “healthy” wagon so they can laugh and snigger about you.
why dont they take care of themselves and stop minding my business? Arrgh it makes me wanna scream!

I know what you mean! It’s so frustrating to have people pointing out everything that you are or aren’t eating.

People will never mind their own business about weight/eating. I’m small (5 feet, 100 pounds) and no matter how much I eat I stay fairly small. I have a super petite body frame and that is never going to change!
I’m also super picky about what foods I eat (I like things plain, only meat I eat is chicken, don’t like any condiments, my veggies must be raw, etc) and eat super small portions like 7-10 times a day. I can out eat my guy who is 6’4!
But his family never leaves me alone. They always act all shocked and take pictures of when I’m eating a full meal. Last night I was at their BBQ and the boy commented on how much I ate. The only thing I could respond to him was “well I have to or everybody will have something to say about how I never eat.” I actually forced myself to eat more than I wanted to so no one would comment :/
PS. His family are small people too (tall but thin) so I’m not sure why they pick on me!

I think people need to learn how to keep their mouths shut. I am grown, I can eat what I want. The people that always have something to say usually need to watch what they eat.

That is so true. I am reducing my portions, as well as eating smaller meals and training. This chick at work who was on my case about “getting small” decided SHE was going to go on a diet, but her “plan” was…Pineapple and Bread. I Kid You NOT.
And I just said nothing. I am not fad dieting. I am not crash dieting. I am making a lifestyle change to become a better healthier version of me. Needless to say, her diet, is not working. At all!

I feel you! My Future In-Laws and extended family are the same way. Future Mother-In-Law always gets on my case about not eating much of restaurant meals. But they give you so much!
I think a lot of people get that way because they feel self-conscious about their own eating habits. That’s not an excuse, but it’s what I’ve noticed.

Ahh, I know how you guys feel! I’ve been trying to lose weight, and whenever people that know about my efforts see my rare indulgences of a burger or a soda, they get super snarky. Usually say something about how it’s a shame I’ve fallen off the wagon, and whatever happened to being healthy? The worst part has to be how many of them smirk and just seem so pleased that you seem to have failed. So, when I’m eating out with people I get something healthy, and just eat my burgers alone and in peace. Gawsh.
