I’m currently sitting, completing my premarital questionnaire. Everything is fairly easy to answer…at least that’s what I thought. I come across this question;
“Why are you getting married?”
My mind is completely blank! Why??? I’ve been with my SO for seven years. He has been my best friend for 14 years, so I KNOW he is who I want to be with for the rest of my life. I know he was sent to me, for me, from God. He’s my soul mate and my best friend, buy why can’t I think of how to answer this question?????
Do you guys find it difficult to put into words why you’re getting married? Why are you getting married?

I would write exactly what you just said.

Same reason I do anything else: because I want to. Isn’t that enough?

I think you already told us why you’re getting married!

I also think what you wrote sounds just fine.
The harder part, imo, is answering why you’re still married after years and years of countless “what are we doing?!?” moments.

There’s no reason why. It’s a preference like everything in life.

Thanks everyone! I guess I was just overthinking it. I’ve been doing that a lot! ha ha!
