I wonder why people are on weddingbee? I am here because I don’t feel comfortable talking about my wedding details to all my single friends around me, and weddingbee provides a platform to share with people in similar situations, in an anonymous way. I also find it somewhat helpful in my wedding planning.
Why are you on weddingbee?

- Wedding: July 2012 - The Gables Inn, Santa Rosa, CA
I’m here because I have nothing to do at work, and it’s more fun to spend time on a wedding forum then a weight loss one! 🙂
Plus I love getting new creative ideas from the other brides here.

My wedding planning days is long behind me. I’m on wedding bee now to keep me from going crazy at work 🙂
But when I was planning my wedding, I was here to get ideas for the wedding and to be able to openly talk about anything without being judged.

For so many reasons! My sister who got married a few years ago recommended it for DIY ideas and such. The second I started posting on boards, I felt at home.
Each board is so supportive and everyone has different experiences and they are able to give different views. Personally, we have so much going on right now. We are in the midst of putting an offer on our first house, trying to plan a wedding, I’m looking for a new job, etc.
I come to the boards to vent, to ask questions, and to see what everyone is up to. I love looking at people in their dreses, gets me excited to see mine. To see what everyone is DIYing for their wedding, to get ideas for my own. RIght now I’m in the Home board a lot, trying to figure out the logistics of buying a house before marriage. Let me tell you the advice on there is awesome.
I just like the community and am glad to be apart of it. Love the Bees!

I’m on here because its a great community. I get opinions, feedback, help with problems I may have, I get great ideas from other Bees and great tutorials. I really love it here.

@asphodel: Pretty much for the same reasons as you – plus I like looking at pictures of dresses and rings!!

Mostly the community. My wedding is over and done with but I already have too much invested to just walk away. I’ve met a lot of great women who I consider friends.

I’m on for the babies boards! The TTC process was really hard for us, and a friend introduced me to the boards a long time ago. I’ve been on ever since!

i started here before i was engaged bc i knew it was impending and i didn’t want to talk to anyone in my real life about wedding stuff before i had the ring on my finger. i stayed because i got great ideas. i stayed post wedding bc my job is boring and i like looking at pretty rings 🙂

So I don’t annoy my SO with talk of our eventual wedding. It’s a great outlet for me as a waiting bee.

I found Weddingbee when I was almost over my engagement and I immediately posted about my dress regret. The responses were so kind hearted and warm – it was like these strangers were my friends! I tried going off for a bit after my wedding but I realized I just LIKE it here! I surf around the main boards and I still do like the wedding related ones because I like sharing my experience with other brides who are in the planning process. I’m sure one of these days I’ll end up switching over to the TTC and parenting boards! 🙂

@star_dust: I totally agree! I posted about my ring, and I got the sweetest responses. I like it here too 🙂

I found weddingbee while I was looking for a replacement ring and band after losing my set. I joined then, but I’ve stayed because it’s fun. Darling Husband and I were married months before I even knew about the Bee, and we had a courthouse ceremony. So, I wasn’t a wedding planner at any point. I think weddingbee offers a lot more than just that though. Many of the discussions are interesting, and I figure I’ll stay as long as I enjoy it.

I’m here because I love this community and have made so many friends! =) I’ve come to the site back in Jan. 2011 when I was curious on how to start the wedding planning process. I don’t think they’ll ever rid of me. 😉
