@RoybnMorre19:   I’d speak with my doctor to see if I could get a rx for sleeping meds.

Awe it will get better, my Fiance is gone 4 days a week so for the first 2 nights I can’t sleep and just when I get used to sleeping without him he comes home again and I can’t sleep because he’s there . So I always try to go to bed at the same time as him or before so I can be asleep when he comes in to hog all of the blankets.

When that doesn’t work I resort to plan V, vodka that is (two drinks and I’m out like a light)  😛

It sounds like you may have PTSD…did you get any therapy after the crash?  I have to television myself to sleep or take a sleep aid to get to sleep.  You can try doing things to soothe yourself like lavendar scented bath, but it sounds like anxiety.  Your fiance probably makes you feel safe and relieved so that you don’t have that anxiety as you fall asleep.

@RoybnMorre19:  Sorry, had to go take care of my niece.

PTSD is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  I’m not trying to diagnose over the internet, it’s just something I’ve been dealing with for a little while and I had a lot of similar things going on; you listed the accident as the start of this problem, and car accidents can lead to PTSD.

It’s got varying degrees of seriousness.  It can range from not letting you get enough sleep to you not being able to leave your house.

This has some information about it: http://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/post-traumatic-stress-disorder-easy-to-read/index.shtml

Again, I’m not trying to diagnose over the internet,it just sounds like what I was going through and the fact that your Fiance makes you sleep easier seems to indicate that you’ve got some anxiety related to the accident.

Im the exact same as you hun! My partner is working away atm and sleeping is next to impossible! I get to sleep but its not a deep sleep!

But if yours was triggered after an accident i would suggest speaking to a doctor or therapist hun.

@RoybnMorre19:   Talk to your doctor, and don’t just let your bf explain everything to you, learn to take charge of your life!
