Just curious as to why other bees picked October as their month. We picked it because we love the beautiful fall weather, my parents got married in October, and because it is not such a common month as say June. What were your reasons?

Cool questions. We picked October because we wanted a nonwedding wedding and since we are paying for the wedding ourselves we needed to save as much as possible. Most weddings are May-August so the price is often higher in those months. So to save money we picked October. Also, we first contacted each other in October, got engaged in October so October was a good month. Also, we figured October would be a great Honeymoon month (not so hot, not so cold so it was a win win).

Fall is our favorite season and usually the weather here in October is absolutely perfect. In fact, October is probably my favorite month of the year so it just works 🙂 Other than that, and this wasn’t really a factor but it’s neat, his parents and my mom and stepdad got married in October. They actually have the same anniversary but 20 years apart. We thought about using their date but we would have had to wait until 2014 to have it on a Saturday and that was just cray cray to us hahaha

- Wedding: May 2020 - establishment theatre
originally we were leaning towards November but his family lives in FL and we live in IA they felt it was to close to the holidays, so we backed it up a month which was perfect because the beginning of Oct here is warm enough for an ourdoor wedding, we didnt want a summer wedding because the humidity here is aweful in the summer! the only worry we have is rain (yikes!) we ended up with a friday because our venue had only one sat open for the year of 2012 and it was in Dec!

We chose October for two main reasons: 1- Our 4 year dating anniversary is October 10th, so we thought it would be nice if we could get our wedding date as close to that as possible 🙂 and 2) we live in Florida, and October is usually the best month (weather wise) not to hot and not to cold…just a nice mild autumn temperature.

A few reasons!
1. We met in October in 2005
2. Fall is mine and his favorite season
3. We don’t do well with excessive heat and humidity!!! I would rather be freezing and have 50 degree weather than have 95 degrees…hot and humid!

Favorite season for both of us. The weather is always the best in this month 🙂

We chose October because the weather is not TOO hot for him, not TOO cold for me and it’s beautiful with all the colors. We’re having a fall wedding and will be incorporating all the falls colors. Can’t wait.

We knew we wanted fall and originally chose September but all the dates were booked so instead we chose October 7th. We chose that date because my fiance used to be a cop, still is at heart, and 10-7 in cop talk means ‘Out of Service’ which we thought would be cute. Then we decided against a Sunday wedding and chose 10-6 which means ‘Busy’. Plus, we love halloween so we’ll be having some skeleton and skull things.

We got engaged in October and it’s my absolute most favorite month/season!!! I wanted early October in hopes for warmer weather but hey I’m not going to complain.

Well, we got engaged in December and I didn’t want to try and plan a spring wedding, didn’t want to wait until 2013, plus fall is beautiful here in NC. As an added bonus our we first started dating in October 2007. : )

1) mando 6 month engagement for church… so that put around september-november time range.
2) November is too hectic with my birthday, his birthday, my dad’s birthday, a gazillion cousin birthdays, and Thanksgiving
3) my Fiance is a manager in retail. He can’t take time off mid-nov thru new years
4) I didn’t want to wait a year and a half to have a fall wedding.
5) we officially started dating in October so it’s nice to get married around our ‘dating anniversary’
