I will send them for the wedding.  I used to be HUGE on Thank You cards.  But, I have one friend who has ever sent me a thank you card, ever.

Gifts in general are a pet peeve of mine since I’ve gotten older.  FI’s famly NEVER sends thank you’s.  His brother and sister have 2 kids each, we have none.  They’ve all come to the conclusion that we should “buy for the kids.”  That’s great.  But, between birthdays and holidays we spend roughly $150/kid each year and we don’t get anything (not even a thank you)!  That is what really infuriates me.  Like send us a Christmas card.  Realize we spend a LOT of money on kids and get us a gift card to go out to dinner, etc.  We used to spend more on each kid but we’ve slowly gotten cheaper and cheaper.  Why throw money at them for absolutely no recognition?  If would feel different if we got a card that said “Uncle and Aunt thanks so much for the scooter, I really love it! Love, Nephew”

Everyone is busy.  Being busy isn’t an excuse.
