Wow! That’s great your dog likes the snow!

My little dog hates the snow. He refuses to walk in it. He’ll stand on the edge and pee, but I can’t get him to poop when it’s snowing out! We’ll walk and walk and no dice! He’ll just look at me and tell me he can’t poop because he can’t see grass…

He also tries to shimmy his butt inside as fast as his legs can get to the door when it’s snowing. He’s cold!

My pup hates the snow and rain… She’s a minpin and her belly is practically bare so the snow hits her chest and she freezes. It is cute watching her hop around out there like a little gazelle/deer trying to get out of it quickly, though!

My cats also enjoy watching the snow, but I don’t take them outside so I don’t know how they’d react to it.

@beekiss2 My friend’s dog got lost in our last snow storm and when they found the dog, he was really malnourished and thirsty. He didn’t know he could eat snow and that it was water.

I have the only lab on the planet that is afraid of the water!  But she LOVES the snow.  She loves catching snow balls in her mouth, diving into it, and sliding down my side yard on it!  We’re supposed to get snow today, so she’ll love that!

Oh yes, Toby LOVES the snow.  He jumps through it.  He is insane, LOL.

@PinkMagnolia:  🙁  That’s really sad.

On a slightly lighter note, when ours would eat snow they’d have “snow mustaches and goatees.”

We have a rotti/pitty cross, and if there is fresh fluffy snow outside, I swear, he frolics. FROLICS! He’ll come into the house panting with snow all over his face and wagging his tail. What a goof.

@.twist.: That is the perfect way to describe what Toby does.  He will take off in a full sprint, and then hop around.  We live on a golf course, so we bundle up and let him run free on the course.  He has so much fun.  Last time we did it, we were laughing so hard we were crying!

@.twist.:  Yep, I know what you mean by “frolics.” It’s funny and cute!  I call it “bouncing.”
