Your venue is gorgeous!! Though I know plenty of people wouldn’t notice or care about the chairs I would notice and would rent chairs more appropriate to your setting.

Absolutely AMAZINGGG venue. If you have the budget for it, I would say totally go for rental chairs.

My venue also provides chairs but I absolutely hate them and I also hate chair covers so renting will be a must for me.

Good Luck Bee!!!

I see your point on the chairs. I would definitely rent. How formal is your wedding? Chiavari chairs would be nice but the Opera chairs would be *divine*. They are usually about the same price, too.

Gorgeous venue! I can see what you mean about the chairs, they don’t really fit such a gorgeous place. I was also in a similar predicament, our venue came with white chiavari chairs but I wanted gold and had to rent it externally for an extra sum. My wedding coordinator talked me out of it stating that people will be too busy celebrating to notice chairs so there’s that…however I feel like the chairs you have would be an eye sore. I vote rent laughing

I am also chair obsessed, and I would find the room to rent! Especially with such a beautiful venue. For me, when you look at a reception a HUGE part of the decor are the chairs! I just can’t live with ugly chairs or chair covers myself. If you have the budget, go for it!

I would definitely invest in chairs.  Those chairs would be like wearing a fancy outfit with $1 Old Navy flip flops.

GORGEOUS venue!

I know some percentage of guests don’t notice or care about the chairs.  However, I’m the kind of person who cares about details, and it would bother me to see ugly chairs in my wedding photos – espcially since there is such a mismatch between your venue and those folding chairs.

We paid $5 a chair to upgrade to Chiavaris. The banquet chairs are awwwwwful at our venue 😒 definitely splurge on it if you have room.

Renting chairs is a splurge and we did it for our wedding. We got Chivari chairs when the rental place had a “sale”, so we only paid $3/chair, which came out to (with delivery and pickup), about $750. They looked gorgeous and everything, but……

….I’m pretty sure I’m the only one who noticed.

My sister, who got married almost 20 years before I did asked me when I was talking to her about the venue chairs, “What did the chairs look like at my wedding?” I couldn’t recall. Neither could she. She pointed out that it’s a detail that not even she recalls all these years later. Clearly, this is not a life-altering detail of your event. But if you have the budget for it, I agree with PPs that Chivari or Opera chairs would look perfect in that venue!!
