Pregnancy is different each and every time.

When I was pregnant with my Daughter she carried very high.  The Placenta was textbook in its placement.  Right up the top of my uterus.  So much so that I always felt like she was under my ribcage and it was always hard to stretch out and allow her the room to move around.  Second time around with my son was the complete opposite.  I carried him very low.  The placenta was right down near my cervix.  The Drs kept sending my for regular scans because they were concerned that it would not leave my cervis clear for labour.  But in the last 2 weeks it did move to the side and wasn’t an issue.  I found that with him his movements were all low and sometimes I felt the pressure of him against my hips that much that I thought he was just going to fall out.

So going from my experience, I would guess you are carrying your little one low. 🙂

Its such an exciting time.  Congratulations!!!

Oh man I remember that. I swear she was kicking my lady parts. If it worries you mention it to your doctor but I think it’s pretty normal.

I didn’t start feeling movements up high until almost 28-30 weeks.  Before that it was all around my belly button and some times “down there” .

I didnt feel any movement above my navel until at least about 28 weeks.  Your LO could just be sitting super low.  Even now, I rarely feel anything above my navel bc she is sideways and even with or below it.  The kicks to the cervix are the worst though lol.  Sometimes shes NAIL me there mid conversation and id unwillingly go “OOF” (or something as equally refined lol) when it happened

Do you know the baby’s current position?  She could be breech; Addie was breech until 30-something weeks, and I swear I only felt kicks to my cervix until well into the third trimester.  Ouch!

Kayla was head down for a long while but I still felt her punching my lady parts…that little stinker is still a handful! 🙂

it felt the same way for me around 20-24 weeks – the kicking was low, pretty close to my pelvis. little by little, it started getting higher and higher. now at 31 weeks i feel him roll around much higher, about 2-3 inches above my belly button. my ob says at the end of the 2nd tri/beginning of 3rd tri they flip and turn constantly, so it could just be the way he/she is positioned.

See… I feel a lot of my movement up high/ right at my belly button. I’m also measuring like 8 weeks ahead though so maybe she’s just got a lot of room to move around!

I hope your little one fixes her posture soon! 😉

I’m 26 weeks today and I feel a lot of movement down low..  I had one sporadic day where the baby kicked me higher, but it was only once.  So I’d have to agree with PP that it’s completely normal.

I carried extremely low with DS and never ever felt any kicks or movements up high. Alot of my friends complained of their babies kicking their ribs but I didn’t get that once. It just goes to show everyone carrys different.

Your bub is probably just getting alot more cramped in there. If this is your first pregnancy then it is completely normal that baby would be heading downwards now (head down, starting to engage by about 32 weeks). My DS was engaged by 32weeks and all I felt was movements down low (because of his arms and his feet being wrapped around).

Don’t worry or try to guess where bub is because you will probably be wrong, wait until your doctor tells you to worry!

Good luck

Thoughout my entire pregnancy most of the movement was down low. He was upside down almost the whole time so I’d feel his feet under my right rib (in last trimester) but he did a lot of “head banging” wayyyyy down there….omg that was so uncomfortable! Felt like my lady parts were being flicked.

I felt little cute flutters and kicks below my belly button in the beginning. It was so adorable. The karate chops to the ribcage later on…not so much!
