I don’t think I’ve ever known a single person that’s had a litter of anything….everyone I know spayed our neutered, just like Bob Barker told us to…are you in a rural area or something, or do these people just really not have a goal in life other than to flood the city with homeless animals?

@MrsFuzzyFace:  I roll my eyes at these too.  A few times I have commented something like “I hope you have found homes for all of them- the shelters are already so overcrowded 🙁  Are you having Fluffy spayed after the litter is weaned?”  …I rarely get an asnwer back :/

I have a couple Facebook friends that post every year about their mutts having yet another litter of puppies. Ugh.

I also have some friends I don’t mind if they post about puppies, but that is because they are reputable breeders (health testing, show thier dogs in AKC conformation, etc.).

I hate this too.  and then they advertise on Facebook that they are free to “good home”.

I also hate when people post that they found a Hurt kitten and ask their stupid friends for advise on how to look after it.

@Nona99:  It appears to be an educational thing, in my experience.  The higher your education level, the more likely you are to have your pets spayed and neutered.  And of course this can sometimes correspond with city/rural/whatever.

@MrsFuzzyFace:  OP, this pisses me off more than FB political posts.  It makes me crazy angry.

@starrynight:  …geez, I neutered all of my boys because I hate dogs that mark, it’s stupid, this isn’t your anything…it’s ALL MINE!!  And now your balls are gone, I win, here’s a tennis ball.

@Nona99 – Neutering doesn’t necessarily mean no marking, unfortunately. (And intact doesn’t necessarily mean marking.)

My neutered male marks horribly, to the point he has to wear belly-bands whenever he’s loose in the house and we had to throw away a couch because of him. My parents’ neuter male also marks. My intact male, however, does not mark in the house.

I hate it, too.  DH’s loser cousin posted a few weeks ago that she was thinking about breeding her dog again, and I chewed her out on Facebook.

I have been the idiot who posted about how excited I was that a litter of kittens was coming, but that was only because we rescued a pregnant momma cat off the street when she was already full term (the kittens were born only a few days later).  Momma cat had her lady bits removed about a month ago so she won’t be making any more kittens.

@MrsFuzzyFace:  Hmm! Can’t say I’ve ever faced this issue myself, but I can understand why you’d be concerned. Hopefully they do find nice homes for the kittens/puppies, though… you shouldn’t assume that they won’t.

My indoor cat is neutered. I sometimes have dreams that HE has kittens and I am so happy lol. Yes, I am a bit weird…
