My guests are notorious for not RSVPing! its so frustrating.. but so far it hasnt been too bad.. i’ve got 7 rsvps back and I mailed the 1st set of invites out last monday.  I’m waiting to give the rest of them out next week.

I agree that is rude, but I have to confess that I didn’t RSVP for a shower recently.  I know I should have but I felt kind of weird because I had no idea who was throwing the shower, there was no name to RSVP to (just a telephone number) and I didn’t even know the bride that well.  So, that’s my excuse . . . I realize it is not a good one and I should have RSVP’d though.

I think fewer people respond for showers than weddings. Sometimes you just put an invitation on your fridge and then time goes by and you totally forget to RSVP until someone reaches out to you! Dont take it personally 🙂

@Ellabellaxo: Yeah if there was an email that would have been so much better!  Sad I know that shooting off texts or emails is so much easier over picking up the phone, but that’s life I guess.  Sorry it’s not going better for you!

@Ellabellaxo: I used to throw them in my mail basket and forget. It wasn’t until I had my own wedding and realized what a big effect this has on the bride and family that I started just sending them back right away. Remember you’re wedding (and festivities around it) is just a party for everyone else and much more important to you. (awful but true)

@Ellabellaxo: I totally know how you feel! You are inviting them to the biggest day of your life (and a free dinner to top it off) the least they could do is respond! I think for the most part they dont mean to be malicious, they just put it on top a pile of this or that as a ‘to do’ and just forget to do it…
