the bride sounds like she is not handling or vocalizing her feelings well (read: being a bitch), being unhappy is one thing, calling an heirloom a dirty old ring and completely ignoring her FI’s feelings is another. sadly, because of her attitude, she is trampling a beautiful happy time in her life.

however, i think it’s too easy for anyone who was/is happy with their e-ring to pass judgement. and say that “everyone should be happy with what they get bc it’s just a symbol” or whatever.

anyone that has ever recieved a gift that they didn’t care for can somewhat relate. unfortunately, it’s just SO much more complicated when the gift is an engagement ring.
