Darling, I am in the EXACT same predicament. MY Fiance and I are the same height ( I think I am a little taller, especially because I have big hair lol). I have always been a shoe girl. Everyone knows this, it’s my thing. I feel like not having great shoes on the day of my wedding is so against my nature, but there is nothing truly AWESOME I’ve found. I recently purchased a pair of Loubs from ebay (I might sell them, they just aren’t it) that wre about 2 inches high. They just DID NOT thrill me.

My mom wanted me to go with something bridal, but they are just boring (and upon further trial walks, a bit small).

Then I found a gorgeous pair of Zanottis on Gilt Groupe, and they were TOO high (I did a test side by side hug with Fiance LOL).

In the end, people will notice your dress more, but it’s good to know you have infused your look with your personality, so I totally get where you are coming from.

Have you considered “strassing” a shoe you own either on your own or having a company do it? I was in negotiations with Sophie and Eva and they were SO helpful and honest about what I was going for. They convinced me I didn’t love the Loubs i was going to have them strass, but I’ve been on the prowl ever since for something that I might fancy. Can’t find a thing.

I also like Butter brand shoes, but they are not really “blingy”.

You are going to laugh, but I actually have a board on pinterest titled “Shoes for brides taller than their fiances” LOL. Here it is: http://pinterest.com/shoplucky/serious-bridal-shoe-options-for-tall-girls-with-sh/

The pictures link to various shoes, if you are interested.

Here are my CL’s btw. I purchased them used and have never worn them. They are not in the greatest condition, size 39. Don’t know if you like them. They read a bit more coral in person, but still pink.  I think it would be funny to sell them to you since we are both in the same position.

And here is my super boring, snoozy bridal shoes.

I feel like you could DIY the last 3… search  DIY stass  or DIY glitter shoes.  Some bees have made wonderful shoes.

Also Etsy?

@BigFatGreekWedding:  That is just too funny. The similarities are uncanny. I told my Fi he has to wear some lifts too. It’s just really difficult if he doesn’t!

And I also was thinking about opening a custom bridal shoe store with PRETTY shoes in modest heights for girls like us. LOL.  Too funny.

I like these Ivanka Trump shoes:

I love Emmy shoes. They are UK based aren’t they? I have been in love with these:

Wear the shoes you want regardless of if that makes you taller than Fiance. So what if you are?

Shoes are tall because that’s the trend now. We went through the kitten heel phase already, and then the shoes got taller and taller. Especially on the runway. Sometimes it’s all about the shock factor. Good thing platforms came in too, otherwise I’m really not sure how people would be able to wear heels. Like that Lououbtin ballet pointe heel. They’ll keep getting taller until it just doesn’t work anymore and then they’ll do something else.

Another bride posted these as her wedding shoes. They look like they fit what you’re looking for and they’re $144.

Enzo Angiolini usually makes shoes “inspired” by higher end designers, these two are based off of Jimmy Choo similar to the one you liked.

Pink Shoes:

(take a look at their other stuff because you can custom design the shoe you want, like this http://www.etsy.com/listing/93812823/custom-wedding-shoes-jade-green-peeptoes, in hot pink. You can choose a shoe style, adornment, and color)

All of those shoes are so gorgous!  You made a great choice!

I must be one of the only brides wearing flats – I am not really into shoes, I’m more into comfort so I went with some cute and simple flats.  I’m about 3″ taller than my Fiance (I’m 5’10”) and we are having an outdoor wedding, so I think flats make the most sense for me.

@BigFatGreekWedding:  Lol, no problem. I’ve done this for a lot of shoe posts. The shoe board is probably my favorite because I love shoes. And this gives me an excuse to look at shoe porn. It also helps me for my Pinterest, I’ve got a Real vs Steal Shoes board, and my blog ^_^.

Have you tried searching for shoe pins/clips on etsy? They are a pretty hot new trend, and they can add a lot of zazz to a plain shoe! I might have to do the same!

The Badgley Mischka Kiwi Sandal looks really cool and funky, and has that pizzazz factor you’re looking for. I think a lot of brides question whether or not they’ll ever wear their wedding shoes again. But since you’re not looking for a typical wedding shoe (white and lacey) then I think you’ll definitely wear it again. This is an evening shoe, so you can pull it out when you have any semi-formal event to attend.

I know what you mean – I searched high and low for purple peep toe shoes that I liked that were at most 3″.  It was a super difficult process – most are 4″ or almost there!  My Fiance is about 3″ taller than me, so I didn’t want to go much taller than 3″ (plus, I’d be dying if I had to be in them all day).

Good luck!
