I gained a whopping 30 lbs in the year after Mr A and I got engaged. Funny thing is now he comments on how attractive I am and how fabulous my ass looks.
He tells me now that I was pretty I was when we met but how I’m become a 10+ since then.

My mother is thin and she said her body was never the same after kids. She worked out like a maniac after having my brother (I still remember the leg warmers and spandex she wore to the gym haha), wouldn’t have so much as an M&M and she could not drop some of the weight. My father bragged about how awesome she looked after kids, and you know why? Because she was bigger.

I don’t get why these threads always turn into big vs. small. People like different body types and that is their own prerogative. If someone wants to date someone who weighs 150 lbs vs. 300 lbs then that is their choice just as it is for someone who would rather date someone who is 300 lbs vs 150 lbs. If someone is more attracted to someone of a certain size and that person later changes A LOT then it is normal for your level of physical attraction to change with it.

Miss doberman… Do you realize how many women you have insulted? Weight can be a very personal issue. How dare you judge women for the struggle they have gone through.

I think the problem is that there are very very different expectations for what a man thinks is attractive in a random person and what a man thinks is attractive in his wife.
