I ordered my dress back in March and was told to expect to wait about 4 months for it. Now I can’t even remember what it looks like!! It’s not that i’m having dress regret but there are so many beautiful dresses on here that you start to wonder if there was something else out there for me and I was a bit hasty when I ordered it! It’s really difficult too as I have hardly found any pics of real brides in my dress, it’s Stella York 5756 which I believe is fairly new. I had to delete my photos as the dress i tried on was 6 sizes too big and far too long (I’m only 5’1″) so it didn’t look very good on and I was worried about having dress regret from the pics. Now i’m just desperately waiting for it to come in, in my size and hopefully be reminded that I made the right decision when I picked it!! I know it’ll look so different when it’s the right size, even though they pinned it as much as they could, nothing was in the right place (bust etc) and there was far too much fabric!! I think I got an idea of what it would look like on and i liked the stock picture, fingers crossed i love it when it finally arrives!!

i’m sure you made the right decision. i do not know what takes so long. i got a variety of times from different bridal salons ranging from 3 months to 8 months. the place where i ordered said 5 months. like you, i ordered in march, so i am waiting for august.
why don’t you go back to the salon and see if you can try the dress on again while you wait for your dress to come in.

- Wedding: September 2013 - Ontario, Canada
UK bride here as well. I have now waited 11 months (ordered July 7th 2012) for my dress so trust me, I feel your pain…. From my understanding though they order it so that it will only come in a few months before your wedding, in time for fittings, but just so that it won’t have to be stored in the shop for months.
If you think about it it’s actually a good thing (even though waiting is hell) as you minimise the risk of something happening to it. It is an expensive purchase after all and white fabric can yellow if it’s stored for a long time.
I went through s bit of dress regret as I had only terriblwe pics of me in the dress but I maid another appointment to try the sample on and it was pinned much better and the regret was gone. Can you perhaps do the same to ease your worried a bit?
