MrsUPS:  Nope.  I like being able to turn to the Bee for anonymous advice and ranting when necessary.  If people figure out who you are then friends and family might get offended or suffer hurt feelings.  Plus, if you post your pics, then anyone who finds it on the Internet can use it for any purpose.  Such as setting up a fake profile or using your photos to sell their product without your permission.  No thanks.  I prefer to remain anonymous, especially because it could affect my job.  We warn and terminate people over public postings quite frequently when they affect our company’s business.

MrsUPS:   I have posted my dress photo and designer/style number, so I’m not showing my face, and for recaps I will post guest photos with faces blurred.

Many of the wedding dates are approximations, which I think is a good precaution for those who want to keep their dress a surprise.

I don’t even use my real information when making accounts online, unless I need to have something shipped to me.  Why would I share me face?  It’s just ingrained, basic internet security and privacy measures.  It’s habit.  I’ve been doing it since I was a kid.

I have enough identifying information out there. I don’t need to add even more to it. I never post revealing photos in public spaces. Just like I don’t post my name.

MrsUPS:  A 6’4″, 280LBS Fiance and a gun wont protect you from cyber stalkers.

I stay annon because I’ve heard crazy stories about Bees who have had someone stalk and find their actual Facebook profile and contact their Fiance or family members linking them to all of their posts. I think it’s just better to stay as private as possible. I am actually a little bummed I am so paranoid now, because I was looking forward to sharing my wedding photos when the time came, but after finding pictures I shared here on other sites I just didn’t feel comfortable doing so anymore. That’s why I also stopped posting for advice or ranting, because anyone can copy and paste it and post it elsewhere or someone else I may not want to could potentially stumble upon it. Which, again, really stinks because I had gotten such good advice in the past, but simply no longer feel comfortable doing so. If everyone just played nice it would be one thing, but alas, not everyone does.

MrsUPS:  Ruin your professional reputation, your credit, your relationships. People can do amazing and very destructive things now days from behind a keyboard.

Because I don’t want to be shopping in Target one day and have someone come up to me saying, “You’re the one who told me purple shoes with teal bridesmaids’ dresses would look amazing. Well, bitch, they *didn’t*.”

MrsUPS:  I am hiding my face until I get married!  I have posted photos of me in my dress on here and I am hoping that none of my friends/family members see my dress until the big day. After my wedding I think I will no longer edit my face out 🙂
