My mom told me that I should wait until I was 25 to get a tattoo. She said 25 is old enough to decide whether or not you would want something so permanent. Now that 25 has passed, I don’t think I want one. But in the future, who knows.

I think I’d like one but I’ve never come up with a design that I had to have. That and location is an issue. It can’t be visible at work or stretch when I get pregnant. I’d like to go ribs but that seems painful for my first tattoo.

I personally think tattoos are ugly, so that’s why I’d never have one. And I don’t like them on guys either, so thank gosh my Darling Husband doesn’t have one.

I don’t like the idea of something so permanent on my skin. Plus, I’m a huge wuss; I can barely have blood drawn, so I’m pretty sure I’d die with tattoo needles…

I think completely naked skin is sexy. I love that when I take off my clothes, I’m exposing all of me naturally. If I had a tattoo I would never feel truly naked. I would have a permanent add on. I love that when Fiance looks at my body he sees me completely as I am. Losing that would make me sad. 🙂

I thought I might want one when I was younger, but never did find anything that I really liked enough to ink permanently on my body…and as I’ve grown older I have come to realize I really do NOT want one. I said I don’t like them in general, but I really just mean I don’t like them in general FOR ME. I know a lot of people with really lovely ink that I can admire, but I don’t want it for me.
I remember my friend’s mom, when we were in elementary school, had a tatoo of a rose on her ankle or foot and I thought she was too old for a tattoo. I don’t want to think one day “I’m too old for this tattoo.” But maybe when I’m older I’ll think “I’m too old NOT to have a tattoo” and then I’ll get one.

I have never found them attractive. There are pretty women with tattoos, of course, but I don’t think the tattoo is the reason they are attractive.
I think there are so many ways to decorate ourselves in ways that aren’t permanant (make up, jewelry, clothes, nail polish, hair styles). I’ll stick with those.

I always wanted one but then when I got to thinking about it there’s not much I’d want on my body forever… I like the way my skin looks naturally. I can’t think of a picture I’d want to put on myself that would make me more beautiful 😛
@eeerika22: [comment moderated for namecalling] All people said is that they don’t think tattoos look good: They’re entitled to having their opinion. It’s not like they said people with tattoos are dumb/criminals. It’s equivalent to my dislike of red lipstick.

I really, really don’t like the way they look. I thought about getting one on my hip or back, but I do plan on being pregnant some day.
I just don’t see the point? My skin is beautiful the way it came.

@MrsRugbee: Im not…..read all the posts and read what i said again. I SAID i respect peoples opinions…but i dont think its right for someone to think a person is ugly because they have a tattoo. I am entitled to my opinion as well.

Health reasons. I have primary lymphedema praecox in all four extremities. Any break in my skin is at an increased risk of becoming infected. Also, if an infection did occur, there would be an increased risk of it never clearing and therefore potentially causing death.
So yeah, no tattoos for me lol.

I love them. I want one but I can’t find the perfect design.

@eeerika22: See, you’re doing it again. There’s a fundamental difference between saying ‘_______ (plaid shirts, tattoos etc) are ugly’ & ‘People with _________ are ugly’. The latter being a bit insulting.
@julies1949: & @eloping: Said: Tattoos are ugly… In their opinion
The only person that said anything close to what you’re saying is @Baimee: & SHE SAID: bad tattoos make people look uglier. If you don’t think so I encourage you to seek out your local squeejee kids.

@KatyElle: The American Red Cross recommends that wait 12 months after getting a tattoo to donate blood. I am positive this depends on where you are donating, because there is a woman I work with that my Fiance tattooed less than a year ago and she donates blood every other month.

I don’t like tattoos and have no desire to get one. Personally, I just think they’re ugly, no matter how ‘pretty’ or ‘cute’ the design, but that’s just my opinion. I also don’t like the permanence or associated health risks, minimal though they may be. Basically, I just don’t see the point to them. Very happy Darling Husband is on the same page…although watch us have children now who want tattoos from an early age, lol!
