- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
Other- I didn’t want company, though teen LK, Mr. LK, and my Mom all saw the dress before I made the final purchase. I shopped alone, found the dress, and then got their input after my decision was already 99% made. From Mr. LK I wanted to make sure that he liked the dress. And from my Mom and teen LK I wanted to make them feel involved in the wedding planning process at every stage, as determined by their level of interest at the time.

I only had my mum come with me. She is the only person I can completely trust her opinion. Good or bad. Plus it was a very special moment and loved to share it with her. Also, I didn’t want to have many too many different opinions as everyone has different taste. Not to mention 2 of my friend generally don’t give me compliments on many things. For example, my one Bridesmaid or Best Man never said I look nice at all to me on my wedding day. Makes me sad but you know how your friends are.

I mostly want company to share the moment. I only plan on doing this once, so I want to make sure I’m with the people who matter most, other than my fiance. Having a second opinion is nice, too, but that wasn’t the main reason I went with people.

I wanted to go alone, but then my Future Sister-In-Law told me it’s really important to the moms to go. So, they came along. I don’t like hearing other’s opinions about how I dress either. My Fiance warned them.

I just took my mom. It was fun to have someone to talk to about everything. It kind of helped me process! When I took all my bridesmaids to see the dress and to find dresses for them… I was so glad I went with a much smaller party to choose my dress!
