The only thing I can think of is that you’re young and haven’t been dating long…. Now I don’t know any of that for sure BUT that’s the only reason I could think of that someone would ask that (TOTALLY RUDE!) comment.
Don’t worry about it hun – they’re just trying to get a reaction! I’d turn to Fiance and say "I’m not preggers… are you? *look back at person asking* Nope we’re not pregnant!" LOL

I imagine it has absolutely nothing to do with your physical appearance – your height and weight would suggest you’re definitely in a healthy weight range for your height. People will ask that when you announce an engagement – more often if you’re getting engaged young or if you haven’t been dating that long. That being said, they’ll ask even if you’re 30 and have been together for 7 years – it’s a rude question, but something that people ask often.

Yeah everyone’s already asking me when we plan to start a family. We just bought our house, which isn’t terribly large or a family-friendly layout, and people are giving us advice on how to add on to it so we can have kids! (And we haven’t even moved our stuff in yet.. nor do we plan on kids soon!!) I’d agree with everyone else – people are just rude sometimes.

I got this a few times too! But the worst reaction I received after announcing my engagement was from a woman I worked with. She asked how long he and I had been together, and when I told her 6 months, she said "ha! long engagement then!"
