I hate when people use hashtags. Also, I have a few people that post nothing but negative, whiny updates.

The parent posts that just go overboard. And by overboard I’m talking you have an album of 478 pictures of your kid and s/he is 11 days old. The parents that tell me all about their kids bowel habits, eye blinks, and sleeping patterns in a 24 hour play-by-play. The parents who look at every milestone as a clear sign that they have a genius child because THEIR child hit that milestone a few weeks earlier than their pediatrician predicted. The parents that do not talk about any topic without somehow relating it BACK to their child. I defriend those people. Immediately.

People who post selfies every day. I get irrationally annoyed by them. They are just so pointless.

No one has forgotten what you look like since yesterday. And it’s sad that people can’t just be like, “Hey, I look pretty good right now” without feeling the need to document it.

I just don’t see why people put so much importance on what they look like in photos since they’re not real. There are a lot of unflattering photos of me on Facebook and I don’t care. I care about my appearance when I go out in public, but I don’t care about what I look like in a picture. And I have never posted a selfie because I would feel like a raging narcissist.

I should add that I don’t get annoyed when someone posts a selfie that’s meant to show something, like they just drastically changed their hair or something. It’s just the daily “Oh look at me making my same-old photo-face in my car on the way to work” that I find so grating and desperate.

One of my facebook friends has started posting extremely Too Much Information updates about her “baby daddy”…restraining orders, broken property, fights…I mean…good for you for getting the restraining order, but do we really need to know you are waiting outside his house in the middle of the night to serve him?

@Eckle:  +1 on the religion part.

My uncle just had emergency surgery yesterday and everyone in my family was posting “Praise the Lord” or “God is wonderful” Not one person said anything about the Doctors who actually performed the surgery, or the nurses or hospital staff at all…

Also.. All the posts about how unhappy people are about being parents, or how “terrible” their kids are.

I’ve heard tales of an app that transforms all posts that contain political buzzwords into pictures of puppies and kittens. But I’ve never seen it in real life. Hopefully that’s not an urban legend…

In the Too Much Information department… an old HS classmate of mine posted his actual notice from the DMV about his suspended license, and what classes he would need to take to get it reinstated. Why was his license suspended? Oh, a DUI, of course. I really shouldn’t know this, but thank you, Facebook.

– “soap box” kind of posts.. Just stfu, you’re annoying

– People who have a one track mind on FB and it’s all about their kids

– People who should unfriend people but don’t because they don’t want to ruffle any feathers. Um, grow some balls!

I cannot tolerate the posters with serious grammatical and spelling errors. I will unfriend over it. I’ve been asked a couple of times and I’m honest with them. Reading your posts makes my head hurt. And that’s not just FB; sadly it is everywhere online.

I hate the girls who constantly post about drama and hating drama. I freaking love drama that doesn’t involve me, and so do they. Quit lying and admit it.

@orchidaloha:  The one track mind thing re: all about their kids makes me sad when it comes to some people. I went to school with this girl who had a billion interests – she played volleyball, was a super smart biology major, tutor, etc..

She was one of the first to get married when we graduated b/c she knew her bf soon-to-be hubby since… 7th grade. She then had two kids with him. Since then, her FB posts are nothing but her kids. “Omg! So and so is sleeping!” “Omg! I put on this “insert local hockey team” onesie on so and so! How cute does she look?” Keep in mind that there are multiple posts a day about her kids… and nothing else. I just find it sad that someone who had so many interests growing up has morphed into a prototype of the most annoying FB posters ever.

On the other hand, some of my other college classmates don’t post any pics of their kids. I found that quite unique as we live in such an oversharing / overdocumenting world now.

@Swizzle:  love this.  I keep telling myself to just stay away b/c I only feel annoyed everytime I’m on it!

Things that bug me- everyone is either 1) complaining (irritating) 2) bragging (about how pretty they are, their kids or who they were recently hanging out with… look I hung out with so and so you weren’t there!  look how much fun I’m having) 3) competing to get lots of “likes” or 4) ranting about political or religous beliefs (seriously inappropriate and annoying).

YET- I keep logging on.  Why is it addicting to keep going on and getting totally pissed off.  This thread is cracking me up!
