At 50+ years old, I was hesitant to try kettlebells, but I am in pretty good shape so I decided what the heck! Well I have grown to love kettlebell traing and now do it at least 2 times a week, sometimes more! Why? Because KB training can burn 20 calories per minute!
Sundays are my weigh-in day. I had off last week because of Sping Break and went out to lunch buffets 3X with Darling Husband and Boyfriend or Best Friend, plus I am eating 300 to 500 calories a day more than when I was actively trying to lose weight. So I was nervous about today’s weigh-in and praying that I didn’t gain anything. Here I LOST 2 more lbs.! I now have a BMI of 21.8! The only thing I am doing differently other than eating more is kettlebell training! Woo hoo!

Sounds like an amazing workout! I’ve wanted to kettlebells for a while now, maybe that’s the last push I need before the wedding!

Thanks for the motivation booster! I have two kettlebells waiting for some work out time. So far, they have just been moved from space to space. Err! Future Mother-In-Law is a complete fitness expert and when I mentioned I had these she kindly found a simple video for us to use as well. Your comments will be the push to give it a try. I had read in Prevention magazine they are great for trimming inches in a relatively painfree way. I guess since I have nothing but oodles of inches to trim, I should get moving. 🙂
I have two days before my next WW weigh in–I think I am going to try to squeeze some time in with one of the kettlebells and see how it feels.
Thanks for shaing!
