When things started getting serious my (now) fianće had me make an engagement ring wish list. He was pretty adamant about not wanting to buy a new diamond because he wanted something non-conflict and I wasn’t going to allow him to drop $10,000 on an estate piece. That’s how I discovered MoissaniteCo. I’ve browsed a ton of beautiful moissanite rings on here before I ever joined and it really solidified my decision. I like the look of diamonds but none of what the industry and society tries to sell me about them. He ended up purchasing a 1.25 ct, rose gold (an absolute must for me), split shank, trellis style. It is enhanced with Forever Brilliant – just in case. I am so in love.
Here are my reasons for Moissanite:
-Budget friendly: we’re using what he saved towards our future house. Plus, I’ve never seen my engagement ring as an investment. I don’t plan on ever reselling my ring, nor do I want my future children to do so. It’s a token of our love. Nothing less, nothing more.
-Non-Conflict: no one died trying to obtain it. It’s lab made.
-Sparkle: it sparkles much more than an actual diamond which, let’s be honest ladies, is the most important part of a diamond (aside from resell value).

@TWedding: Such a lovely ring! SO plans on getting a moissanite engagement ring for most of the reasons you specified, but especially because moissanite is conflict free.

Thank you! Don’t mind my nails, haha. I need to get them filled.

I was really iffy about it at first because I was worried it would cloud or lose it’s brilliance. After extensive research I’m confident it won’t. I’ve had yet to find anyone who was not pleased with the decision. A lot of the negative things I have heard are from people who don’t have any moissanite jewelry – funny how that works 😉

@TWedding: pretty!! i was adamant about conflict-free too, which is why my FH went with a Canadian diamond. It’s not worth someone dying for!
