@RinaRoo: What about cutting the guest list? Fewer people+smaller venue=more affordable budget!

I would just be REALLY careful about getting on that show. There was recently a thread about someone who was considering signing the paperwork, and people were saying how that show ruins relationships and stages/edits things in a way to make you look like a miserable human being. I don’t know if my sanity would be worth it.

@imalittlebirdie: HAHA I guess she never actually mentioned the show at all! I just kind of assumed that was how their application started (Why I would like to be a bridezilla). Whoops! I think maybe she just means doubling her budget (where were my reading comprehension skills earlier?).

@RinaRoo: Currently your parents are paying for the entire wedding. However, it does not get you the type of wedding you want. Its fine to add some of your own money to to have the type of wedding you desire. I think it reasonable especially if you have the finances to do it. Why not?

@RinaRoo: my venue has a 100 person minimum, and there’s a good chance we’ll end up with less than that (not from cutting, but bc there will be so many Out of Town guests). i actually preferred the minimum guest number, knowing we’d expect fewer… if we have less than 100, great. i know EXACTLY how much everything will cost and won’t have any additional payments beyond my advance payment toward that minimum!

Its hard to say without the actual budget. Are we talking 2K initial budget or 10K?

Not a bridezilla, maybe just a victim of being bitten by the wedding bug courtesy of all the dang TV shows with all these picture perfect weddings!
