I love coral.  However, Duncan, if you’re talking about men wearing coral shirts, I think I might agree that it’s not the world’s best color choice. I’ve been trying for two summers simply to find a coral tie for my Darling Husband to wear when he tries to coordinate with my coral dress or sweaters for church, but I can’t even find one, lol.

I really like it, I love seeing weddings with this colour, though it’s a colour I can’t wear.

@Duncan:  Don’t worry Duncan. I doubt that anyone is going to change their choice of wedding colors because of your opinion.

I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man for one of my friend’s weddings back in 1994 and had a coral, tea length, lace dress!  We even had the shoes dyed to match!  I hated it at the time but I remember thinking when I saw her professional pictures that the color photographed very well.

Like everything, colors come and go. Teal is back in also….another big color from the late 80’s – early 90’s.

@Duncan:  Not at all.  Nearly every Sunday, as I am getting ready, my Darling Husband goes to his tie drawer to select a tie to coordinate with my outfit. It’s his choice to do this. Since he doesn’t have a coral tie, he always seems stumped when I wear coral, and he asks me which tie he should wear. I generally say that he should contrast with me and not try to match in that case.  🙂

I actually really like coral, it reminds me of the sunset.  I’m not gonna lie though, I don’t like it when people decide colors are trends, and it’s getting a bit annoying seeing them in weddings ALL THE TIME.

And considering how close it is to pink… I’m just not a fan of any shade of pink in weddings.

I love coral, blush, and purple. They’re all such feminine colors. I have an olive complexion so coral is a color that looks great with my skin tone. I actually want a blush toned wedding dress.

In my closet you’ll find loads of reds and purples.

I think whatever floats your boat if best for your wedding.

I’d hate for any bees to read this post and feel lame for using coral as a wedding color. Or for anyone not to use those colors because now they feel deterred.

I will definitely be using the colors mentioned because it’s what I like.
