I’m frustrated, I emailed Blushing Bridal and they sent me the form to figure out. It’s been a 2 weeks since I filled it out. According to the email they sent me they get back to you with the form information within just a day or two. Nada. I’ve emailed again just to see if they got it and even called (voicemail). I also found another person who came HIGHLY recommended. I saw her portfolio and emailed her back telling her I wanted to book…it’s been 5 days. NOTHING. I also was given the name of someone through a family friend and have emailed this person too…..6 days since she sent me pricing….NOTHING in response to my email back to her. I know I’m just whining but I have 2 months left and I’d like to get this taken care of and get my trials moving. UGH!

seriously, I’ve had the same problem. my theory is that because they don’t work with computers, they’re not next to their phone or email most of the day. however, if they want to make their customers happy, they need to return their damn messages! so annoying.

That happened to me, twice. I didn’t hear from my initial make-up artist for a long time. Her phone didn’t work, and her e-mail was disconnected. So I assume she’s not a make-up artist anymore. The other make-up artist (the one who did my make-up for the wedding) was bad with communicating as well. I e-mailed her frantic because of my other experience. You would think she would be careful to stay in touch. Nope, she would take days to get back with me. I’m guessing she has a lot of e-mails to dig through, but still. The next day should be the latest unless you are out of town…. in which you should have an automatic response.

It’s getting unbelievably frustrating. It’s one thing if you don’t have any type of website or email information for your clients but if thats the one way listed to communicate you would think they’d be A LOT better at staying in touch. Considering I’m about to fork over tons of money for something being washed away a few hours later, GET BACK TO ME!! UGH.

I’m really glad to be reading this. My makeup artist is literally my only vendor who does not immediately respond to my emails/calls. In fact, sometimes there will be days or even weeks before I hear back from her. Guess it’s the nature of the beast!

@pinkandsparkly:Oh you’re in Boston too! Do you mind telling me who you are using? At this point I’m STILL looking.

As a working professional artist i would say look for a new artist! I always respond within 24 hours no matter what.
This is a huge red flag that your artist is flakey and might not show up on your wedding day!
Unfortunately there are some very unprofessional people in this business that call themselves makeup artist! Sorry this just makes me mad because it makes the rest of us mua’s look bad!

If it makes you feel any better I’ve had the same experience. I’m planning my Miami wedding from 500 miles away. So my trips to Miami for wedding related things are few and far between. I can only make 1 more trip before the wedding and I’m having such a hard time hearing back from hair people, I’m petrified if I’ll be able to schedule any trials! Good luck on your hunt!
