I understand your pain to an extent. It seems like great dresses are absolutely everywhere right until I am looking for a very specific style.

How about Asos, Topshop, Singer22, swell.com, shopbop, lastcall, revolveclothing, swayandcake, shopruche, modcloth, Urban Outfitters, BCBG, Calvin Klein or Madewell?

Also, I’m sure you’re familiar with Shopstyle.com? It links to tons of different shops and allows you to narrow your search by style, color, sale, price, etc.

Here’re some I’ve found:

Lipsy (Asos, $130.55)                   Donna Rico (Nordstrom, $148)

Rachel Zoe (Shopbop, $197.50)       Aiden Mattox (Nordstrom, $165)

French Connection (Nordstrom, $185)    Marc New York (Nordstrom, $148)

Why does it matter so much?  Just get a dress you like that’s comfortable.

@Carley7.6.13:  What kind of dress are you looking for? Shopping can be so frustrating.

I got mine at Macys but the dress I bought was sold at Khols and windsor as well!

@MlleFabuleux:  I am going to Vegas too with a group of my friends, so I want to wear white or something to stand out.  I want something tight fitting and accentuates my waist.  I don’t want anything that flares out from the waist because I am big on top and don’t like how that looks on me.  The closest one is the French Connection one from Norstrom another poster posted.  There are also some on Rent the Runway that might work.  Thanks for helping in my search.  My dream would be a Herve Ledger, but I don’t have close to that amount to drop on a dress . . .

High Shine Dress

I just ordered this dress today from nastygal.com (it’s for a friends bachelorette party in AC). They have TONS of cute dresses and are really affordable– most are under $100– this dress was $78. Unfortunately, they only had a large left, which isn’t usually my size, so I’m hoping it runs a bit small 🙂

I’m right in the middle of this same thing, I feel like I’ve looked for hours and can’t find anything I like that isn’t $500, which I’m not in a position to spend! Thanks everyone for your suggestions, I’m off to look at some of these right now!

@Soon2BMrsC21: I second the NastyGal endorsement, and your gold dress is hot (I hope it fits, too)! I purchased their gold sequin Goldmine dress for my friend’s bachelorette, as well. It was only about $78 and it was even better than what I was initially looking for (it has these cool matte sequins).

@blushing_bride_27: I also second the boohoo.com recommendation. I bought my sister’s bodysuit here, and she loved it! (Really I just do a lot of online shopping)

Carley7.6.13:  I think searching for a white bandage or body-con dress would be your best bet (that way you stay away from the flouncy skater skirts). Here’re some that I found:

CoutureCandy ($175)             Topshop ($98)         Asos ($119.70)

Forever21 ($32.80)        Alex. Wang ($123.22)         Asos ($89.78)

Singer22 ($89.00)            Bloomingdale’s ($198)     Nanette Lepore, LastCall ($69.65)

I would also check out this search I ran at Asos (they sell a ton of white bodycon dresses, and I already narrowed the search for you to under $200). I hope you find what you’re looking for!
