I LOVE Euroshank rings, squared off on the bottom (although, I don’t love it at the top, my husband probably would). They don’t spin, and they’re so comfortable. But they are almost IMPOSSIBLE to find here without a custom design.

The rings my SO and I looked at had Euro shanks, so I’m pretty sure mine will be squared on the bottom. I don’t particularly love how they look when not on a hand, but I don’t plan on taking it off for people to see anyway.

@Future_Mrs_Dr_I:  I have a modified euro-style shank on my ring- the inside is actually a trapazoid. My wedding band is by the same designer and it matches (a round band would have felt weird.) I love the shape and with the trapazoid, it’s taller than it is wide so it “locks” on my finger and I have to turn it sideways to get it on or off. No fear of losing it!

It’s much too bulky for my taste.

Oh for anyone here that likes euro shanks but can’t find them, A. Jaffe used to make them when I worked for them about 10 years ago.  They’re a mass-produced brand and are sold all over the place and internationally, so even if you cant find that specific style in a store you can likely have them memo one in for you to look at and try on. We would also put a euro shank on any ring we made for various designers, so there’s that option as well!

Heck yeah, Euroshanks! My ring is super comfortable and never spins. Nothing worse than a little wee band cutting into your finger. I kinda dig the mens’ version, but I tend to like more modern style rings.

My ring is a custom piece and the jeweler highly recommended a Euro shank. I love it because it never spins and it just feels more solid. I’ve never been a fan of thin bands.
