I had only one requirement for the people in my wedding.
Do not wear white or black (except for pants). The bride and groom will be in white and black and we want everyone to be colorful.
I didn’t require a specific color. I didn’t say it had to be blue or gold or anything. Just NOT white or black.
So why is everyone sending me pictures of black and white outfits and asking if they are okay to wear????

Because they really want to wear black and white.
Are you talking about the wedding party or the guests?

It’s hard to find nice dress clothes for guys that aren’t black. You should have sent them ideas on what to wear, say gray suits.

Obviously they’ve misunderstood. Since you said the “people in our wedding” I will assume you mean Maid/Matron of Honor, Bridesmaid or Best Man, best man, groomsmen. If you’re letting them choose any color of their choice except the color black or white you possibly will have to word it ever so clear.
Dear people in our wedding,
We want you all to choose your own colors (blue, green, red, yellow). Please DO NOT select white (bride is wearing white) or black (groom is wearing black) with one exception, black pants are ok. We would love our wedding party to be colorful and also want you to be able to make your own selection.

people in wedding being officiant (BFF), man of honor (other BFF), best woman (FI’s BFF), and my father.
I even told the guys they don’t need dress shirts. Just a nice button down. short sleeves even if they want. And that if they wanted to give me their sized, I could even get the shirts for them.
