I’m trying to write my thank you notes.
First, I put them off for forever. It was always “I’ll do them tomorrow.”
Finally, I started them, but apperently, I want to write a novel and a half for every single gift… even when the gift was tiny. My mom told me I need to quit it because if I go at this pace, I’ll never finish and they’ll just never get sent. But I feel like I need to make them all personalized, cause I don’t want anyone thinking that I just gave them the “same ol same ol” thank you letter. I’m trying to keep them as short as I can, but some are literally filling up the entire card… and then the back.
Is this normal? Any tips on how to keep myself motivated? Any tips on when enough is enough? I’m only halfway through, and thats only counting the people who GAVE me gifts. I’m starting to think I should write everyone else too though… you know, just for showing up. At this rate, no one will even remember “that thing that hapenned at the wedding” that I’m blabbering on about by the time they gt my card in the mail!
I know lots of you arent at this point yet, but I’m sure you’ve encountered similar things. So somebody, any body… advice would be appreciated!
(See what I mean about writing too much?? I do it a lot!!)
