Us Canadians get married even older.
Average Canadian woman is 30
Average Canadian man is 32.
Although…I’ve yet to know a couple where either of those ages is that of the couple.

Just one comment… I wouldn’t say that getting married over 30 was “later in life”!
Most of my friends are now aged around 28-33 and very few are married, although some of them will be married soon.
Many of them have delayed marriage because the financial crisis in the UK makes it harder to get settled financially and to get steady employment… which are both things which people would prefer to have before marriage.
I really think that finances make a huge impact on people’s choices to get married or not. Age matters less than financial stability.
I got married at 25, and I don’t feel like we married too young, too old, or whatever. We got married when we were ready, and we’re very happy. Personally I think it has to do with the individuals getting married, not just their number. Also, different areas have different numbers for getting married – but this article, like many others like it, reflect the opinions of one person, and he/she like everyone else, is intitled to their opinions. (Not saying anyone said that he/she wasn’t!)
Reminds me of an article I read about why intelligent, financially stable young adults don’t want kids. It was basically an article written by a young woman who wanted to express why she didn’t want kids (though she did try and blanket everyone else worthy of being considered her equal under the same reasons). She completely missed the part where other young adults with bachelor’s degrees (she was speaking as if the degree classified you as intelligent, her words, not mine) that had kids. I’ll try and find it and post it, maybe. ๐
@adayoruba: Good to know! If anyone ever tells us we are to young I can share a few interesting statistics!
It’s nice that there’s a few statistics on our side too, haha
I’m glad I’m getting married young because I get to spend more time with my Fiance, and I don’t have to be on the dating scene after college, hahaha
I think its entertaining ๐ Never thought about those things haha well….except for #5 anyways, we knew we right so why delay any more!
I don’t really put stock in these articles…. you do it when it’s right for you and you’ve met the right person….. so since I got engaged at 26 and will be married at 28 does that mean I miss out? lol To each their own ๐
