Hey Girls, I noticed there are a lot of RI Bees, but not a lot going on in the RI boards.
So why’d you pick RI as your wedding location?
We picked it because it’s where we met. We wanted a semi-destination wedding, so it fit perfectly. It’s a mid point between our two families and we love the ocean. And we just love Newport.

No one’s commented on this but mine are the same reasons as yours haha…We met there, it’s semi destination, and my dad is from Newport so it made it extra special for me!
Oh yeah, and ever since college Newport stole our hearts π

We’re getting married in RI b/c we live here and love it! We’ve got a list of about 5 different places for the reception…it’s so hard to choose. Luckily there’s plenty of time. π

The towers in Narragansett, Goddard Park, Kinney Bungalow, Easton’s Beach rotunda and the South County Museum (though I’m not too sure about this b/c we’d have to rent a tent).
Btw, the Atlantic Beach Club is so beautiful, and their food is delish! Your wedding will be beautiful π

We’re getting married in RI because it’s where I’m from, my family is there and it is also where we met! Specifically we’re having the reception in Narragansett which is where we both lived when we started dating so thaere are a lot of familiar places and good memories.

I no longer live up north, but I grew up in CT with alot of my family being in RI, and I went to school in RI (JWU)… If I hadn’t moved away and fallen in love with Texas I definitely would have gotten married in RI. π

We live in RI, along with most of our family members. My FH was born in AZ and still has alot of family out there, and I was born and raised here.
Our first date was on the beach in Narragansett, and we both LOVE Newport, especially 2nd beach. We’re getting married at the OceanCilff Hotel in January, kind of bold having a winter wedding in New England, but it’ll make the honeymoon in Jamaica all that much better!
And even though I’m already a bee, I just found this RI board through google… weird.

We’re doing a Rhode Island wedding inkeeping with the “where the bride is from” tradition. I’m also hopelessly excited about introducing Mr. Seashell’s family to the East Coast – many of them haven’t been so they’re planning extended trips to visit Boston, Maine, New Husband, and NYC!
