We stopped because of a pregnancy scare and not wanting to be pregnant till at least after we were married.

My whole thought is that it will make you want it more or just make the night special

We took a little break before the wedding night because the sex is always AMAZING after we’ve been apart for a while, and we wanted to have AMAZING wedding night sex.  There’s something about building up anticipation….it’s fun!

I have a difficult time understanding this also.  I couldn’t do it… maybe that is why it is hard for me to understand.

@mrsmdphd: We waited for the same reason! Well tried because wa gave in a few weeks ago and I am glad because it relieved so much tension!

I guess I should clarify–we took a break, but not a long one.  We took a week off.  That was the most time either of us could be convinced to go without…I wouldn’t have been happy and neither would Darling Husband if we had taken a bigger break than that.  We like our active sex life.  😛

We stopped for two months. The anticipation was great.

He originally wanted longer but then I reminded him he wouldn’t get any for his 30th birthday. He backed down and we abstained from the birthday weekend til the wedding.

I dont understand it either. I know if we did, it would be just like you said- purely sexual and as some men say, pardon me, “getting the first ____ off” so you can take a breather, then get in for the long haul.LOL That sounds so vulgar now.LOL

I miss it….a lot! But, we’re almost there and it’s so worth it to me not to have to worry about getting pregnant right before the wedding.
