well to be fair I think people also post on the “post pics of rings that are ____ on size _____ finger” when they have something similar, like if people ask about size four people might also post size five or six because they still think it’s helpful, but I’ve always seen that stated in the post.

I have short little chubster fingers, so they look pretty big but actually are size 6, which is actually a bit small for my height/weight.

I have relatively chubby fingers but my ring size is a 4.5.  I was actually very surprised when I found out.  My mother actually has more slender fingers than I, but her knuckles are bigger, so her finger size is bigger.  Everyone’s fingers are different.  I actually have a bit of a complex about my fingers. I actually had a boy in 6th tell me that I didn’t have 6th grade girl hands–I had 1st grade boy hands.

I don’t think anyone is lying, I think you make assumptions that you shouldn’t, because you don’t know them

I have small hands and they appear to be somewhat “chubby”, specially in photos when someone can’t actually see the size of my han in proportion. buy my fingers are actually quite thin, size wise. it’s just an optical illusion I guess.

My hands are really small. My fingers are a 9/10 depending on temperature. They are chubby I totally own that lol but the knuckle at the base of my hand is wide. Like mickey mouse’ hands. People often think I have a small ring size in real life because my hands are small but nup, it’s easy to tell close up and in perspective but otherwise Its not that easy to tell.

I’m a 4.5 (actually slightly less), but my fingers look like E.T.’s… Maybe looks of fingers can deceive people?

I find no reasoning to lying about ring size.  Take for instance, my good friend from school was supermodel tall & thin, yet her ring size is a 7.  There’s no direct correlation with anything.  I don’t think people are lying.

ha ha this is pretty funny!

I actually know two people in real life who’ve lied about their ring sizes to appear more ”dainty” and ”delicate”, not to just to other women but to their spouses. HILARIOUS. One lied to her Fiance when he was trying to purchase her engagement ring, and ended up with one that didn’t fit, surprise surprise…she had to wait a further 2 weeks after the proposal to get her ring and was pissed.

Being freakishly tall myself, and not at all dainty, this whole crap about you’re only feminine if you’re petite, short, skinny, apparently have tiny fingers, it all just maddens me. Femininity is subjective I feel, and not based on numbers.
