- Wedding: October 2011
I know when you get married, your wedding day is your day…as in one day, not the surrounding days or weeks. I totally get that.
But allow me to vent for just a second. My fiance and I have two other sets of friends in our big circle of friends who are also getting married this year. One is coming up in two weeks, and the other is in early August. We didn’t want our wedding to be back-to-back with either of theirs in order to ease people’s “wedding fatigue,” so we went for October for our wedding date.
Well, now a third friend has just proposed to his girlfriend. Like, literally a week ago. Guess when they decided to have their wedding? September 25th. Less than a week BEFORE ours.
I feel like smacking him square in the face (figuratively, of course). I really wish it wasn’t so close to ours. Not only are a lot of the same people going to be invited to both and probably not be able to make it to both, but damn, it just feels a little bit like stealing our thunder.
*sigh* okay, I’m over it. But seriously, wouldn’t this annoy you just a tiny bit, too?
