This was me at midnight the night before our wedding:
Back story: Two days before our wedding, I mentioned to my mom that I had forgotten to pick up facial cleansing wipes. She happened to have a new package, which she gave me. It was not the brand I usually use, but I didn’t think twice about accepting them. I’m sure you can guess where this is going….
Fiance and I spent the night before the wedding together, and as I was washing up for bed after the rehearsal dinner, Fiance asked, “What’s wrong with your eye?” I ran to the bathroom mirror and, yup, I was having a massive allergic reaction to the facial cleansing wipes! We frantically texted pics to guests who are doctors, and they all recommended a prescription for 1% prednisolone drops. FI’s grandfather is a physician, and he happened to have that exact prescription in his medicine bag, so I was able to start using the drops immediately. I set my alarm for 5AM to administer a second dose.
By 10AM, the swelling was greatly reduced, but it was still noticeable 🙁 My MUA took one look at me and recommended I send a friend out for Preparation H! Apparently it is what models use to reduce dark circles and puffiness and, let me tell you, that stuff works. Crisis averted!
I’m sure none of you would be foolish enough to use a new product the night before your wedding, but if you do: Preparation H is your friend.
