you mean for the ceremony start time? If so, I might start 5 minutes late, but that’s all. I think it’s rude to make guests wait who arrived on time. I would much rather have those who arrive late just miss the beginning. too bad for them…

I’m always early to weddings and I wouldn’t appreciate having to wait for the ceremony to start past the time on the invite, so I’m planning to start at the actual time.

To me, the guests that arrive late are the ones being rude – no reason to punish your guests that arrive on time or the ones that show up early.

We’re starting right on time!! The last wedding I went to the ceremony started 30 minutes after the start time listed on the invitation. There was never an explanation from the B&G so we kinda feel like they did it on purpose. We got there 15 minutes early and I can tell ya we did NOT enjoy sitting around for 45 minutes waiting for the ceremony to start….

Somehow we started right on the nose but we had planned on delaying 5 minutes. 3 people came after we started the processional. My poor friend didn’t put the cardinal direction of the street in and first ended up on the wrong side of the Ft Worth but still showed up 3mn after start time. The other two came in the middle of the ceremony (about 15mn late).

My wedding planner suggested putting an earlier time on the invitation, but as a guest I wouldn’t be happy so I just put the actual start time. Hopefully that works out okay =)

The doors will close and lock after the processional. It is in my contract with the venue. I’m not going to allow people to wander in during the ceremony. It isn’t my fault you can’t tell time.
