Thanks ladies! My Wii was the black Mariokart edition, so it came with the game and a wheel. I’m terrible at it (I’m used to PS controllers) but it’s fun. I wanted to get Zumba but they didn’t have it in the store so I got Just Dance 2 instead. I’ll have to pick it up!
My Fiance did the Your Shape with Jenny McCarthy workout last night and was really impressed with how well it worked with the camera. It’s a bit weird seeing yourself on the screen at first, but it’s actually really helpful.
RE4 and Lego Indiana Jones seem right up my alley. I have a hard time getting into the Mario games, probably because I was one of the few kids that didn’t play them growing up because my family has always had PS/2/3.
Any other ideas?

@Aure: Go to the channel/shopping network thingy and download “ghosts and goblins” it’s HIGHLY addictive!!! (and hard as hell, lol). Altered Beast is fun, too!

Mario Kart and don’t forget to buy the steering wheels! We used to have a great time with that. I also downloaded the old school Marios and if you turn the Wiimote side ways it makes an old school Nintendo controller! Great fun in the winter when you are stuck inside!

@soyjoy222: We have both Mariokart and a wheel. I’m not a huge fan of Mario in general, maybe I should have specified non-Mario Wii games, haha.
@Zinzerena: I browsed through the channels a bit but we had a busy weekend and didn’t have much time to play with our new toy! I’ll have to look for those games!

@Aure: My Fiance found ’em and we spent HOURS playing “Ghosts and Goblins” one day, lol. It was soooo much fun, especially since we were playing 2 player. It’s hard, and you get killed A LOT but it’s sooooooo much fun!!!

@Aure: Honestly, some of the best games you’ll ever find for any Nintendo system are going to be Mario games because Mario is Nintendo’s baby. I didn’t grow up with Mario either (or video games at all) and I found that Super Paper Mario was a really great game to get me into the Mario world on my level. It was the first game I ever played all the way through.
As far as non-mario games go, I second the Lego games – my husband and I really enjoyed Lego Indiana Jones, and the two-player is very co-operative and fun.

Raving Rabbits!!!! You MUST MUST MUST get this game. I’m so not a video game person and I LOVE this game. The first one is my favorite – you can probably get it super cheap also. It’s sooooo funny. You’re trying to get away from these rabbits (yes, like bunnys) and they make you do all kinds of crazy stuff. You have to throw a cow in one task, keep their port-a-potty doors shut in another task. Oh, and you get to shoot plungers at them! Yes I realize it sounds really weird, but it’s the best!

@melodicsighs1: I’ll have to check out the Lego games, they sound like a lot of fun. I do realize how integral Mario is to Nintendo, I just don’t enjoy the games. I’ve even played Super Mario Galaxy, the one everyone raves about, and just couldn’t get myself to be interested.
@misschickpea: I’ve only ever played Zelda on a Gameboy back in the day. I’ll have to look into it for the Wii.
@flutterbi: Haha, that sounds crazy!

We’re a little late in the game, too and will also be purchasing a Wii soon. Love the suggestions!

We love Wii Sports Resort, too!! Too fun. We also bought Minute to Win It, and that was a waste of $40, IMO. We are boring and didn’t buy any other games yet…lol
