I have decided that I don’t want a diamond e-ring but wanted to go and try some rings on to get a sense of what shape etc I was after – although I already had a pretty good idea I wanted a round stone and in a halo setting.
I am the type of girl who always knew I would want a BIG e-ring! Whether fake or not…But I don’t want it to be too big that it looks ‘fake’ but I still want that WOW!
We have just got back from trying on rings with Mr. V and I have fallen in love with this gorgeous ring! It has a centre diamond of 0.6 carats and originally I thought that I would definitely not want to go smaller than 1.25 carat (moissanite) – was leaning more towards 1.5-2ct.
This is the style I LOVE from moissaniteco.com – http://www.moissaniteco.com/round-brilliant-moissanite-petite-halo-wedding-set-p-14535.html
I am now thinking of going for a 1ct moissanite. What do you think? Will 1ct be too big for my finger? I’m an L (NZ sizing…I think about a 5?!)

It is perfect for your finger!

It looks great! I don’t think 1 carat is too big. 1 carat is perfect no matter what size finger

It looks great!Gorgeous ring!

I think it’s really nice, not too big at all!

1 ct will not be too big 🙂

If that picture was a .6 I think a 1ct. would look even better!! But your fingers are small – so I wouldn’t go any bigger than that with the halo. 🙂

I think it looks beautiful, it actually looks a lot bigger than what you say it is. Does it have a matching band?

Nope, I think you could go up to the 1.25 without it looking crazy large as well.

No, I think the moissyco petite halo is a much smaller halo than the one you tried on. So 1 ct might look about the same as that one in terms of finger coverage, bc the ring in your pic looks like it had a pretty thick halo.
I think you could easily pull off 1.25 without it looking “fake” but if you’re unsure maybe stick to the slightly smaller stone…I am getting a 1.5 ct solitaire but if I were getting a halo I would also go with the 1ct center (and our finger size is the same).
Have you seen Calocal’s ring? 2 cts and looks gorgeous!
I hope you post tons of photos when you get it!! Do you know when you’ll be ordering?

i say go bigger if you can get the 1.25ct because trust me ring shrinkage does exist lol

i would go with even bigger than 1.

1 or 1.25 will be a perfect size for that. I have a halo with similar sized halo stones on a 1 ct equivalent, and it’s big without being ostentatious. It’s a wonderful size.

I think 1 carat would look great, definitely not too big!
