It depends. Most jewelers in my experience tend to size on the small size, so a size 7 would probably be at least a little tight.

Is there a reason that this ring can’t be resized? At many jewelers, most rings are available standard at a size 7 (average) and they will provide resizing within a certain margin. However, ring size is also a comfort thing so I’d maybe give her the ring and let her see how it feels before deciding what to have it sized to. For instance, I was sized at a 6.5 but I prefer to wear a size 7 because I found the smaller size to be uncomfortably tight.

I think you’ll be ok. You can always get it resized later. I got sized as a size 6 but couldn’t stand how loose it felt so i took it in and got it to 5 3/4 they were really hesitant on taking it in for me because they said it would be too small and wouldn’t fit comfortably. Luckily it fits great I’m so happy I had it taken in again.

It will probably be fine but if not can it be resized?

It depends on the ring. If its a solitaire resizing it shouldn’t be any issue. If it has an eternity style band or lots of diamonds in the band than it might not be resizable.

normally a 1/4 siz difference is just for comfort and preference, some people like rings tight and some like them loose. If it is a good quality ring you can always take it to a local jewler to have them resize it, unless it is fancy channel set or something.
