I bought a Watters Encore dress for my rehearsal dinner (the lace one that was in magazines) but then found a dress I liked better. Do you think I would be able to return it to bridal store I bought it at? Or am I stuck trying to sell it?

My guess is no, most bridal stores have a final sale only policy. Did you order it or did they have it off the rack there? If you ordered it or bought a sample there is no way they will take it back, if it was off the rack then there is a super slim chance, but my guess is still no. Bridal stores have a lot of different policies than normal retailers since so much merchandice is special order.

Every store is different. Call and ask!!

There is a super tiny chance they’ll let you if you’re exchanging it, but even then it’s super unlikely. If you just want a straight up return, no way. When a dress has been ordered specially for you, you’re pretty much out of luck. When I changed my mind about my dress I resold the old one online, lost a couple hundred but it was better than nothing.

the only way to find out is to ask.
hopefully the tags are still on. if not, definitely no.

@amandasf: Then you are probably out of luck (though of course you can call the store to check, but like a PP said unless you want to exchange it’s unlikely).
Give it a shot selling it yourself, you won’t get the full retail price, but it is still has tags and never was worn you can get a decent about back!

My dress hasn’t come yet and I tried to cancel, but they wouldn’t have it. If anyone has a magical line that you can say to get them to return your dress or cancel your order and refund your money, please let me know!

Wedding dresses are, generally, made because someone ordered them. They can’t be unmade, so once they are in production, there’s no going back.
Unless, of course, the shop has a need for another sample.
