Ladies, I’m in a panic! I ordered our invites last week and JUST noticed a grammatical inconsistency. DANG IT! Me, my mom, my Fiance, and the vendor proofed these things and none of us caught it! (I didn’t even catch it from looking at it… it just hit me out of nowhere as I was finishing up my work day!)
Here’s our invite (it pains me to blur so much out)…. do you think people will notice or will it just go right over their heads? We sent out STD’s.. so it’s no surprise to anyone that we’re getting married. It’s not like they’ll be poring over the invite because they’re hearing about it for the first time. (I hope? Gah!)
I purposedly changed the wording after our names to sound more personal, but then forgot to change the “Together with their parents” to “Together with our parents”
I contacted our vendor (on Etsy) to see if printing has already started, but in the meantime.. what do y’all think?

The invite looks great! no one will notice. i read through without reading what the problem was first, and yes, i did catch it, but then again i was an english major. but don’t worry!

Oh my gosh, don’t stress! No one will notice that. The invites are so romantic and pretty – love them!

I voted the middle option, but honestly, maybe a FEW people will notice it and not care – the rest will be blissfully unaware.

Oh my. I would get it changed, but I’m super OCD about grammar!!

Ahh! That would bother me! I hope you can get printing stopped!

@missbiscuit:Forget about it,nobody will notice it.

If printing has not started yet I would have them reprinted but I don’t think most people will notice. It is not some sort of major spelling error it is a grammatical one which some people may not even realize is an issue.
By the way I love the invitiations, they are beautiful. Love the tree!

I read it without looking at the problem first and I caught it…but I was looking for a problem. I think that most people will not notice…a few might, but it really doesn’t matter that much.

I asked my SO to “proofread” this and tell me if he found anything wrong. He did not. 🙂

I wouldn’t have noticed it had you not pointed it out. I wouldn’t worry about it!

It would really bother me. I noticed it right away, but I’m a lover of good grammar, so…
hopefully they haven’t yet gone to print!

I would notice this but wouldnt care. If the invites arent already printed then definitely change it, otherwise dont worry about it.

I probably wouldn’t have noticed if you hadn’t said anything. Or I might have though “Hm… is that the right word?” But wouldn’t have gone much past that. I seriously only look at the date/time/place on wedding invites. I know we all put tons of thought and effort into our invites, but as a guest I barely look at them.
Side note – I LOVE your invites! The tree and birds are adorable, and the colors looks great together!

Umm… is that even a grammatical error? I think I did the same thing on our invites, since all three parties (us, my parents, his parents) were the hosts of our wedding.
I thought “their” parents made it kind of more removed and less like we were taking credit for everything when it’s a shared effort.
