Instead of doing the normal escort card or place card table we are having a Will Call where guests pick up their “tickets” to find their seat.
This is just a foam board and I used Mod-Podge to adhere the letters that I printed off using Publisher.
I’m going to use a table and on top of it, with my sign, place plain white photo boxes. You’ve seen them before right? They are the ones with the lids and a little metal frame on the front to place a label in. I picked mine up from hobby lobby for $3.99 each.
Each guest will have to sort through the alphabetized boxes to get their tickets which will be stapled to their RSVP card. I designed them in Publisher and I printer 4 to a 8.5X11 piece of card stock and cut them by hand. The special fonts are from DaFont.com.
And if their is any last minute changes to my seating chart…and it happens…all I have to do is shuffle around the tickets since they are not personalized like place cards or a seating chart.
Do you have a back up plan if you need to change your seating chart at the last minute?

@knvprincess143: That’s really cute.
We had envelopes with the guests names on them and then printed cards with table names that went inside the envelopes.
So if we had any last minute shuffling, we just changed the cards in the envelopes.

I had a printed board with everyone’s names and what table number they were sitting at. I designed it a couple of months before the wedding, but I only finalized the design and sent it to the printers a week before our wedding, which was the latest I could do it. My mom called me a couple of days later to tell me that my sister wouldn’t be coming (she was also supposed to be a bridesmaid), so at the last second I just made arrangements for my friend who stepped up for me to sit at the head table. So my seating chart had one number in the wrong spot and an extra name, but it didn’t really matter since I just told my friend she was sitting at the head table and no one else noticed the discrepancy. My programs were also wrong since it listed my sister as a Bridesmaid or Best Man, so whatever.
