I am sort of clueless as far as fashion goes, so I would love to get some advice. I’m wearing a dark red dress for my wedding with an ivory sash. Here it is:
I was thinking of wearing ivory gloves to match the sash. Do you think that would work?

That sash is so dramatic agains the color of the dress, I think gloves would be *too* much. You’d run the risk of looking very pageanty.

First off, that is a beautiful dress.
My first thought on the gloves, is not to wear them. I think gloves (especially long gloves) can look dated.
Did you have a specific style of glove in mind?
Personally I think a jacket might be cute as well depending on where your wedding it. If it is somewhere cold, maybe a cute shrug with faux fur on it would be a good option for some outdoor more wintry pictures.

I would go with matching red gloves.

depends on the type of gloves. if they are wristh length and fingerless than I would say yes. But if they are going to be longer and satin then I would say no

Im not really a fan of gloves as they seem a little dated to me to be honest.
BUT you are getting married in november and i thin kyou could pull it off if you wore just wrist ones…something likes this (but no polka dots!?)

I agree with PP…it would really depend on the type of gloves. Different gloves convey different looks, so you’d have to try on some varying styles. I think long satin gloves are a little dated, but I am a fan or wristlet style ones 🙂

@mrs.peters.to.be: Exactly… when I said gloves are dated, I was thinking the long satin ones… like I wore for my deb ball.
They also squeezed me mid bicep (in order to stay up) and I got a little muffin top over the top of the glove. NOT attractive in the least.

Oh wow. Thanks for all the advice. I hadn’t even considered the type of gloves yet. I like the pic you put up, Baileyh. I’ll see if I can find some like that, but without the polka dots. I’m still thinking about a shrug instead, though, since it will probably be cold! Wedding’s in Colorado! Thanks again everyone!

I think it would depend on the type of gloves. I’m not a huge glove fan, but you may find some that look good. Look for some pics and post them on here.
