For our wedding colors I am really liking berry hues (navy, burgundy, raspberry, blush) and gold. I really love the gold because I think it will give the wedding a vintage glam feel. However, the Groom had a very nice custom suit made that is a charcoal grey with blue details. My question is, will his dark grey suit clash with any gold pieces we may have at the wedding? Like gold centerpiece vases, table runners (maybe), cake stand? Should we not have gold as a wedding color at all?

You are worried he’s going to clash with the centerpieces and cake stand?? You are SO overthinking. You’ll be fine.

Why would grey or blue in his suit clash with gold? Those colors don’t clash. And even if they did, he’s not going to be holding any of that stuff up to his suit the whole night. You are way overthinking this.

Thank you! 😊 I figured I was overthinking it. I just want all the colors to flow well.

Grey is a neutral. Blue is often a neutral. Your choices are fine.
Side note, no one else will notice the colours as much as you, which hopefully will help you feel more relaxed and less stressed about decisions like these.

Grey and gold is actually a very sophisticated color combination.

julies1949 : Thank you! For some reason I was thinking the grey might look bad with the gold, but it seems like everyone is for it! Definitely makes me feel better about it! 😊

I think it will look amazing with those colors!

Don’t worry about it! Darling Husband wore a gray tux, and we had a lot of gold accents at the wedding

Should look fine! Navy and gold are actually our main colors, and Fiance is going to wear a charcoal suit. I think navy, gray, and gold look nice together.
