We have two shuttle buses leaving our venue for the hotel at 10:15 and 11:15 PM. If no one chooses to take the earlier shuttle we will be in trouble and there will not be enough seats on the later one! Do you think people will take the earlier one???

I recently attended a wedding where there were multiple buses leaving. Most of the people left on the later one but there were some who left on the earlier one (mostly older people). You can probably expect some, but definitely not 50/50!

Depends on your guests. Are those the only two times they can leave? We usually leave around 9-930, I would hate to be stranded there as a guest.

@MrsN14: Yes. The venue is at a winery about 30 min away from the hotel (in the hills) and the roads are pretty dark and windy. We have let all of our guests know this as well as the bus times. We have also given driving directions for those that wish to drive, and there is plenty of parking, but wanted to provide buses for those that wish to drink/are not comfortable driving on the windy roads in the dark.
I think I would need about 15 guests total (out of 70 staying at the hotel) to either go on the earlier shuttle or drive themselves. Does that sound feasible?

What’s the demographic that you’re inviting? I think older folks, parents with young kids, and generally less-social types (I would include myself here!) would probably head back earlier. My Fiance and I generally drive ourselves just so we have the flexibility to leave when we want.

@hollyberry4: ther will absolutely be at least 15 people who leave at 10 15. for SURE. grandparents, parents friends, people with young children etc.

@peonyinlove: whew! I hope so! Except FI’s Puerto Rican grandmother is the exception…. she is always the one up dancing later than everyone else! We spent last new year’s eve at her place and we were crawling into bed exhausted at 2 AM and she is dancing around the room saying she wishes she could have gone out to a late night salsa club. 😉
I’d say there are a lot of younger people, but a good amount of family friends in their 50’s and up!

This is my same question. We have 90 percent family coming and they are already bummed the wedding is over at 11. I would hope people would leave early since we ony have the shuttle for one hour after the wedding is over. I guess in your case, people may be more inclined to go early since the drive is a bit long to get back to the hotel.
